Air France delivery clears multiple milestones

The delivery of the Dreamliner is not only the first Boeing 787 for Air France but does carry some additional milestones as well. For Boeing it is the 500th roll out of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Boeing reached its 500th roll out in record pace, 5 years after delivery to launch customer All Nippon Airways.

The French carrier is leasing the airframe from AerCap. For AerCap it is the 50th delivery to a customer.

Air France-KLM has ordered a total of 35 aircraft. Air France has ordered a total of 14 787-9s, while KLM already operates 8 Boeing 787-9s, has another 6 on order and also has ordered the bigger Boeing 787-10.
