28 Aug Norwegian expands Dreamliner fleet
Norwegian Long Haul, a fully owned subsidiary of Norwegian Air Shuttle, has signed an agreement for 2 additional Boeing 787-9 airframes. The airframes will be leased and enter service in mid-2017.
With the addition Norwegian will have 11 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 8 Boeing 787-8 airframes by 2018. According to ATWonline the new Dreamliners will be equipped with 35 premium seats and 309 economy seats. Next to Scoot that operates the Boeing 787-8 and Boeing 787-9, Norwegian is the only long haul low-cost carrier that operates the Dreamliner.
