President Hollande from France, will be returning to France with some much needed orders for Airbus. Hollande has bagged 40 orders for Airbus during his visit to Vietnam.
Vietnam Airlines intends to order up to 10 more Airbus A350-900s. The airline previously already had ordered 14 airframes of which 4 have already been delivered.
Jetstar Pacific has finalized an order for 10 Airbus A320ceos. The order had previously been announced during the Farnborough Airshow, which took place earlier this year.
Following an order earlier this year with Boeing for the MAX 200, VietJet has ordered 20 Airbus A321. The low-cost carrier ordered 10 ceos and 10neos.
$6.5B worth of orders
At list prices the orders are worth $6.5B, but after standard discounts the value will be closer to $3.3B. Currently Airbus is already leading on the Vietnamese market and it seems that airlines cannot get enough of the narrow body product that the jet maker is offering.
